Current Project: Studying Quantum-Classical Correspondence in Plasmas via Structure-Preserving Geometric Algorithms

Jacob was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2022 with a degree in physics and minors in mathematics and philosophy. His research interests include warm dense matter, magnetic reconnection in the context of laser plasmas and Earth’s magnetosphere, and fundamental plasma science.
Jacob currently works under Professor Hong Qin, and together they are investigating fundamental quantum-classical correspondence in plasmas using structure-preserving geometric algorithms. He can be reached at [email protected] / [email protected], and he is always happy to meet with prospective students to talk about the plasma program and life at Princeton!
